Shattered Horizon

The plot behind Shattered Horizon is interesting as it is based on the partial destruction of the moon caused by mining activities by companies seeking to gain profits out of the natural resources available on Earths’ satellite. In the game Shattered Horizon, chunks of the moon have broken away from the main body and have reached an area that is close to the outer space that surrounds Earth. As the supply route between Earth and the International Space Agency (ISA) is cut off a battle for survival ensues between the one major rivals, the first being the Moon Mining Cooperative (MMC) while the latter being the ISA.

hattered Horizon is a first person shooter game that is based in space and gives the players a gambling experience in zero gravity conditions. It was first launched in the eleventh month of last year. On the fourth of November one guest passes were distributed to the owners who could then pass the game on to their friends to try it out as a demo of the game.

Shattered Horizon is the first game that has ever been produced by the Futuremark Games Studio which is a self funded studio that came to be in the year 2008.

The year in which Shattered Horizon takes place is 2049 when mining activities by the MMC result in a catastrophic accident which leads moon debris to form an arc around the Earths’ night sky. The battles between the MMC and the ISA take place on the arc and are fought over access and control over the little bit of supplies which make their way to the debris.
